Best of 2010

Hook, where is that tree and how did you get to climb it?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is in the Beaver Creek Wildlife Management Area. It is on public game lands. The trials and terrain of getting to the tree are a tale of their own. We didn't get permissions or anything of that nature.

Hahahahaha! I think the quote is "easier," not "better!" I like your version, though!

Going with this one . I'm up in the back tree . No hero shot . Cool Job , hot day ! End of August 2010. Have some good shots from the storm that waffled a golf course two days before a PGA event in early July , and some real nasty storm damage shots , but I'm sick of storm damage , don't even want to look at pictures . Humble picture but I love cranes .

Nice.

If there were some pants on that guy on the roof, it would be even better.

I like the shine on the crane boom in yellow.

Now lets see a picture of you in the tree Riggs.

Good job,

Here is my picture, a lightning struck white oak removal. The picture was taken in early September of 2010. The tree was rotted pretty bad at the base and it was a good choice on the removal.

My best group climb 2010, USMC just back from Afghanistan doing community work in Boston for a week before going home. Set them up for a rec climb at the end of the week. Talk about focus, teamwork and great attitude, they had it all.

Awesome!

During rope installation, one of my helpers accidentally pulled one leg of a doubled rope out of reach. I was about to get on another rope and go get it, someone said no we'll get it. Biggest guy took the smallest guy and threw him up in the air, he grabbed the tail and the big guy caught him on the way down.

Nice. Makes me feel downright cozy to know that.

Moss defiantly the best climb of 2010!! I had a Blast out there with you climbing those mammoth trees, what an opportunity. I don’t think I can eat oatmeal any more though, I’ll probably through it Wright back up. Or wait a minute I did while I was out there.Lol . And talk about being fit you defiantly impressed me with you endurance up and down and up and down the steep mountainous terrain. I swear you are a marathon runner. Time to start talking about the next big climb.
Goodaking

Blinky sweet picture,
Doesn’t it suck when you have to have your hand in that position? Feels like your hand is going to brake off. I was thinking of getting out of the tree business with my next get rich invention, a pull out handle for the ms 200. When you get your hand in that position you just pull out the handle and collapse it when you are done.
It would be cool to come up with something like this that wouldn’t be to bulky or to heavy
Goodaking
Ps just kidding about getting out of the Business but it would be cool to make some extra dough

This is all I got. I am just a landscaping pruner. Not much take down work seeing I don't have a chipper.

Moss that's some crew you got there.

Blinky, it's cool to see a picture of you. Interesting thread of pictures for sure!

hey, that lighting strike guy.

Was it for sure hit by lighting? Your not talking about that streak that runs from the crotch to the bottom, right?

Isn't that streak tissue death from a tight V-crotch pinching? Or is it somehow lighting damage?

nice picture, I'm not being a jerk. Just inquiring.

Are those cables in the tree too? Due to an arborist noticing the weak potential of that crotch?

The guy on the roof works for the crane company , just a spotter( should have wore a skirt). 100 degree day , I am in the tree and if you look at the boom it is under tension , I'm tied into the one boom making the cut on that top . After that cut was made the other boom rode me to another tree and I made a cut there , keeping the flow of the job moving . Zoom in you'll see me , I left my red cape at home . This isn't Maryland just the suburbs of Philly. I 'll post my other shots on photobucket , I have some real good pictures , some that might be better ,I do this crap everyday and I'm no artist .

good Moss . lot of vets looking for work when they get home . Not what they thought they be doing but tree work is good hard work that pays and that won't ever change .
