Hey guys, I have also been thinking about a battery top handle saw. Anyone else got one in the last few months? Anyone use anything besides the Husky?
I replaced my battery saw with a Stihl 150. And I haven’t looked back. Lighter, better power, finer cut and easier to make better cuts (carving bar and 1/4” chain). Now the 536 collects dust, except for the once a year we are working inside the convention center.
Oh and all in all it’s cheaper to buy the 150!
Do you want to sell the dust collector and just use a Silky inside the convention center?
Looks like it is $400 for saw, battery and charger. $160 for another battery. If that were available as a top handle, I think I'd be all over it.Think it is a non top handle but I just saw a youtube vid of a 2018 Milwaukee M18 Fuel chainsaw go through 10/12 inch wood at a pretty good clip.

I have been looking for a "deal" on the Husky, but haven't found one I could jump on. I thought it was there a month ago, but the pieces didn't fit. Husqvarna was offering a free extra battery as their spring promotion. I thought I could get the ISA discount from TreeStuff. I also had a 10% rebate from Husqvarna after attending a workshop they sponsored. The free battery wasn't eligible through TreeStuff (I think it was just through local dealers) and Husqvarna isn't eligible for the ISA discount so it was all too much to justify when I have 2 good gas top handle saws. If I needed to buy a new one today, I'd probably do the 536XPLi... but I don't so I haven't.
