Belgium Draft Horse

There is another with a team of 4 Belgian horses in Amish country, pulling a fish tailed semi tanker truck out of the ditch in the snow and ice.

My grandfather ran a portable sawmill operation in Minnesota, and used horses to gather the saw logs, or so I am told. He died just before I was born by a drunk driver.

Maybe not so far off, as I was born in the upstairs office of a drugstore. There was a sign on the steps which read "no spitting on the steps".

When I was in Missouri I got to work with Belgians and Percherons at a friends farm.
He bred the mares for mules for the Amish.
Well HE didn't breed them..........

I have a friend here in NC that got 2 mules breed by the Amish that way (well not the Amish...) Anyway he would host parties at his farm, and one of the highlights was going for a wagon ride pulled by that team of mules. One day they spooked, and he was not able to control them for awhile, so the kids went for one wild ride that day.
