Polesaw blades too are unforgiving...I had two jameson poles with a fanno hook tip get bumped off a branch with my knee while spiking up a tree. 12 foot of poles came down and ripped through my double-front carhart pants and through my thigh down to the muscle fascia. 7 stitches later and a nice scar for a reminder, I'm sure to hang those poles away from me for now on. I'm never hasty about where I hang them now!!! Also, hindsight tells me that the blade must have missed my flipline by inches on the way down, I was climbing up to my TIP, 2 points of attachment always now, never know when things will happen...That day was a serious wake-up call for me. Be safe.
