Got a 1250 I've had for a little over a year now. Drove to site Saturday for big cottonwood removal, started up for about 10 seconds and then quit on me. Haven't been able to get it running since. We changed the fuel filter today, took apart the water seperator deal, checked the amps on glow plug, checked current on the shut off which is working, fuel lift is pushing fuel. When we had filter off we primed and it was pushing fuel. Doesn't seem to have water in the fuel. Air filter good, oil and radiator fluid good. Not sure where to go from here, other than dealer. Battery strong, it turns but never catches. Poofs sometime like your gas grill when you wait a bit long to light....I don't know enough about injectors or how to check. Putting out a lot of white smoke it seems when trying to start. Any ideas? Thank you.

On the same line as CreTree, check the Murphy switch (tattletail switch). It can kill the electrical power to the ignition needed to start the engine. One of the sensors could be faulty or disconnected somehow. Popular sensors are oil pressure, water temp and hood safety switch. There are probably more on newer machines but these are the ones my machine has. Had the same problem, and thought it was froze up. But turned out to be the Murphy switch.
