BBB Accreditation???

Better Business Bureau Accreditation.....
Does it help to attract new clients? At roughly 600/year it's pretty expensive for my small company. Seems like you are basically just paying to use their logo?

Might be different in other states. In CO, you just can't get an "A+" if not a member. In 35 yrs. we've had a couple of issues but still have an "A" because I follow the steps to tell our side of the story.
I agree though- total scam and not worth any $.

I've heard horror stories about both Angies List and the BBB. However, having your name in established directories definitely help with consumer trust. Another route to gain this would be getting reviews and testimonials on Google+ or Yelp. Has anyone here gotten MEASURABLE results from BBB? I'm really interested to see.

Is it worth 600? Probably not. I would much rather spend 600 on a customer loyalty campaign or in a new client acquisition campaign.

I wonder how many customers are influenced to make the initial contact because they see and Angies list or BBB logo. I Know personally is does influence me when Im looking to hire a service.

we get a lot of clients from Angieslist and Yelp. I have no interest in the BBB because it costs a good deal of money. The former two are free for business owners.
