Bandit 90XP problem

Hi there

I have a 2005 bandit 90XP chipper.
This problem began about a week ago that when I am chipping dead ash trees the RPM will drop from 2350 to about 2100. This causes the feed wheels to slow down and bring the brush in very slowly. It sounds like the machine and bogging and the chips won't shoot very far out of the shoot. I can still run regular live material and it doesn't seem to struggle at all
Any idea what the problem may be with it?

Had a problem similar with my morbark. The RPMS dropped off and the auto feed stopped the feed wheels from turning. In actuality the RPMS never changed but the tach didn't register the revolutions because the alternator belt was loose. Come to find out the tach registers RPM's from the atlternator.
Another crappy part is the water pump is run by the same belt luckily the Murphy switch shut it down as we were trying to diagnose the problem before damage occurred. Of course it had to be one of the hottest days too!

Had a similar issue on my 90XP. Everything is computer controlled and if the computer overheats or whatever happens in that mysterious mess it can turn down your performance. I was investigating getting a new processor ($1000) when mine went through enough cycles, cooldowns, whatever that it reset and has performed well for the past 2 years.
