This is weird. Dave sold me my first new chipper in 2006 and he was very helpful.

Can’t fix a problem if he’s not aware of oneHe sold me this one and my 200xp in 1999.
I haven’t spoken to him about the issues with this machine only because I think that it’s the service departments responsibility

always better than bad news!!!! Hope it gets your machine all squared upI know but since I am talking directly with the owner I feel there is no need.
The good news is that I just received an email confirming that I will be receiving a new control panel under factory warranty.
Finally some good news
Glad to hear good news it

Check all the other valves that they are not stuck on or cracked open or closedUpdate
189 hours. Everything has been good since the computer panel was replaced
Then today happened...
Winch has no pulling power.
No matter what I do it doesn’t fix it. It has only enough power to pull in the winch line itself.
I’m pretty sure that the valve is stuck (engage/disengage valve).
Any advice is much appreciated!!

Anytime glad to share my experiences good or badFixed. There was corrosion on the spring and pin that works the valve to engage the winch
Thanks Venas and Merle for your suggestions
If you have the engine manual for the chipper, and it lists GM part numbers, Napa can cross-reference those to give you the parts you need. Otherwise, you may be able to call a GM dealer if you have the model and serial number of the engine, and get the part numbers from them.1/10/20 Update
All is good with my machine. Almost 330 hours and I’m getting ready to change out the distributor cap and rotor.
I need the Napa part numbers for:
1). Distributor cap and rotor
2). Fuel filter
3). Thermostat
(this machine has the GM 4.3 gas engine)
Any help is much appreciated

IDK about anything else, but my much older than your new chipper- GMC 5.0 needed OEM caps. Problems of carbon tracking inside the cap, and poor running performance with the 'regular'/ aftermarket one from O'Reillys.
No Idea if there might be a similar problem.
Only knew about it because the Parts Counter clerk knew it was an ongoing problem on the Chevy 305s that they made for a long time, I'm told.
