I have read that bagworms can be controlled with dinotefuran (safari) as a soil application id done in early spring, but mixed results have been concluded. Anyone used this method?
Later in the summer months (like now) research shows that foliar sprays with bifenthrin and other such chemicals are most effective, but I dislike spraying that stuff on a regular basis.
So what about hort oils and what is the sccop on Bacillus thuringiensis???
To me it would make sense that hort oils would work on adult caterpillar bagworms, but maybe I'm wrong?
