It definately has the hollywood drama thing going on. I'll continue to watch it, I think the timber fallers are good at what they do, the high leading is interesting, it gives a good look at what it takes to produce lumber.
That's what I'm talking about. Right on MB! these guys deserve creds for working hard and out in some rough country etc. But I saw about five minutes of the one where the dude was putting on spikes with duct tape and learning how to climb on them for the first time. I had to turn it off. I can't wait around for this drivelling bulls*#! to redeem itself. It's guys like this who give us a bad name. And it tells our customers that this is the way we're supposed to act. Argh. Somebody hit my thumb with a hammer to distract me!
It glorifies seat of your pants behavior at its worst. And don't these guys know their industry has safety standards? Where's the PPD's? since the show uses graphics to show their locations and the names of their companies now OSHA knows right where to go and have documentary evidence to show their violations. God forbid that one of these guys gets killed (which is likely with logging statistics what they are).
