He may not have been aware of the thread started weeks ago in the general discussion area titled "Axemen".

Are loggers not required to follow ANSI standards?
The episode from last week had a guy all freaked out about going up a forty foot spar to set a choker?!?! When he was done they are all like...MAN DUDE you sure earned a beer for that one....lol, LAME!


He used only a flipline and his gaffs were falling apart.
It has its moments but I think this show kinda blows.

The more and more I hear about this less I'm likely to buy the dvd. Would be funny to have Osha show up and bust them down if they aren't operating by the right standards. That would be why logging/Tree work is in the top 3 most dangerous professions. I'm not sure what list it came from, but it went Fisher people (lol got to love the PC crap), Something else, then us.

It looked like some crews followed the protection. I thought some had chaps on, I know I saw ear protection, and some other things. Maybe I'm just seeing things??

The skid line thing they use is very cool. One thing for sure, It is VERY dangerous work. I would hate to be the guy setting the chokers. It looks fun but Ill bet it gets old QUICK.
I like the blown down portions that are being shown getting used for timber. The clearcutting make my tummy turn a bit.
