Ash Trees Beware in the GTA

I know the location of one infestation site and that would make the 5 km zone from Bayview east to Brimley and from Eglinton north to Steeles. Depending on what type of quarantine it is this is going to be bad. Example would be if a nesting quarantine is issued that means that each property in that area would be it's own little quarantine zone. That means that even if you have EAB and your neighbor has EAB you can't give him your fire wood because he burns wood and you don't. Very restrictive so beware. Toronto already charges for dumping at their ALB dump site so they will for sure charging at their EAB site. This will force up removal and pruning costs or you could lose your shirt in dump fees. So be careful and mindful of your business in these zones

The tipping fees at the ALB yard is not that steep though I do agree it's easy to forget to factor it in. The ALB yard is within the restricted zone. Would they use the McNicol transfer station as a holding area or where would they establish a yard for waste material?

CFIA is real interested in slowing this down I think it is going to be very restricted movement. Nesting quarantine for sure to start so the dump sight will be tighter than the McNicol yard I think. Just speculation on my part no real inside scoop.
