Are the arbpro evo 2 worth the money

I like the looks of the evos but want to know if they are worth the money and what's the with like. My foots a little wide but not huge

I am on my first pair of evo2s they are my 3rd pair of arbpro. I absolutely love them. Great for pruning, pretty not bad for spurs, the best for footlocking. I will buy another pair when I blow these out.

Shoes are a personal matter. One person may find them extremely comfortable, another may find them horrible, and they are both right. I just bought these evo2 boots expecting to love them, but I just returned them. They are extremely well made and a quality boot, but to me I felt like I was wearing wooden shoes. I have problem feet, and there are few shoes that will satisfy me. I usually wear a wide shoe and found these slightly tight but bearable. I also don't like the high tops rubbing my shin, but I planned to not lace them up all the way, and that worked well enough. But in the end, it just hurt my feet to walk in them, so I returned them. You won't know if they work for you until you try them, and I recommend that you do just that.

While not built for spurs, the way some good logger boots are, they work in a pinch very well. I have never been one that wanted to carry around multiple pairs of boots, I plan on grabbing some Wesco's for all day spur work, all Arbpro will get you through any job. The Evo2s have a taller heel then the clip-n-step's, thus are better on spurs then previous models.
I actually converted my Haas into a clip-n-step with a cheep wire gate 'biener and some zip ties, just so I could rock the new anchors in the boots. Now I leave my haas ready to go during pruning climbs, riding the inside of my left leg.
In my opinion, spurs are uncomfortable no matter what boots I am wearing, so might as well wear some boots that are good for everything else.

I think the Evo2 boots feel almost like a mountaineering boot until they break in, after which, they still remain firm and supportive...moreso than other boots.

The Clip 'N Step boots are much closer to an approach boot, or even a slipper when they break in. It's worth the effort to push through the break in cycle for either boot, which I find is about 2 or 3 weeks of regular use. Wearing them in damp/wet conditions and lacing to tension will also help them really conform to your foot.

It's nice to have options for the work at hand, but I gotta say that the Evo2 are great for anyone with a variety of work and a budget that negates a quiver of footwear. Especially if you travel as a contractor for work and can't carry 3 pairs of boots, the Evo2 tackles the mixed bag like a champ.

I'm also looking for a pair of boots. These vs salewa mountain trainers? How long have guys had these boots before replacement? I'm on 2 years for my pfanner zermax , best boots ever wish I could resole them because they still have life left but I'm almost racing on slicks. Would buy again but kid on the way and $450 Canadian isn't happening right now.

I love my arb pros. I will say the clip n steps felt differently than just the regular arb pro evos. I love them in spikes for me they are super comfy! The clip n steps are tough to wear on the ground just walking around, they do hurt my feet a little, but man what a great boot for in the tree!

Steve they are ok. I've had some removals where they stay in place and others where they move around way too much. Cinched down tight in both scenarios. So now I just switch to loggers during removals. But for everything else they are beast.
Fair comment, though it might depend a bunch on the Spur design. I wear Antal Axess Spikes and they get real narrow under the foot when measuring length of the span between either side of your foot. This means the Evo boots are held right in place and don't shift at all. Some Spikes have a very wide, flat base to them, allowing boots to wander. It's all subjective, of course.

I love the Evo 2's, solid boot. I unfortunately found out the hard way that I should have gotten a half size larger than normal. But, Treestuff sent me a warranty pair, so, yay!

Good point. I wear Geckos which tend to be a little wider at the base. But yea totally depends on the spikes.
