Arbpro boots

Just wondering if anyone can provide some feedback on these boots. Figured they've been out long enough, already have heard about some durability issues on Treestuff. This probably belongs in "rant and rave" but I was hoping to get quick feedback since i need to order soon....or not.

great boots, apparently there were some issues with the first run, fixed now though, also, they were replacing any defective ones, no questions asked :)

I'd like to hear how long to expect out of them.... I haven't been able to get a full year out of La Sportiva's and for the $$ I'd like to get some more time out of a pair of boots.

I have them and they did alright. They worked well for pruning as well as removals with spurs on. The rubber that wraps around the shoe is starting to un glue itself but really isn't a big deal. The rest of the boot is holding together well.

Had them one year exactly which is 6 minths longer than i would get out of asolos. Good boot, i think i will get them again.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered a pair for my climber. He's coming out of a pair of la sportiva ganda which he liked, but are expensive. We'll see how he likes these.

The later productions have some changes to prevent the issues from the 1st run. There is wider webbing on the back of the heel and beneath it the glue and stitching is beefed up along with internal reinforcements.

The glue on the rubber rand around the toes and sides has been improved and the rand itself is a higher quality and softer stickier rubber to prevent premature peeling.

There is also a lot # in the upper left corner of the tag on the inside of the tongue to identify production.

I'm told the early run failures were around 7%.

Alessandro from ArbPro has also been awesome in fully supporting replacements where failures did occur without hesitation.

There will be an "Evo" climbing boot in the future, along with a light sporty chainsaw boot with class2 protection.

Also out now from ArbPro are new helmets, harnesses and friction cord!

Just an update. My climber got the boots and says he doesn't like how stiff they are, they are heavy, and they run about a half size big. I don't think they come in half sizes though. Anyway, he's gonna try insoles to see if they fit tighter. I'll keep ya posted..

the soles on mine are holding up well. had a bit of rubber coming off the toe but does not effect performance. great all around boot. got mine a bit smaller than usual
