Arborjet quick jet air issues

We have been using the arborjet system for 4 seasons now and have had good success with it up until this point. For the past few months we have been experiencing issues with the piston retraction. After each push of chem through the gun the piston pulls back slower and slower to refill the chamber until eventually locking up entirey. This then requires a full break down of the gun and lubrication of the air piston seal. An arborjet representative came out a week ago and verified we were using the correct cleaning and maintenance procedures and could not come up with any better way of avoiding this issue. Replacing seals and thoroughly cleaning and lubricating hasn't helped, hoping someone has some experience with this.

Their rep should have responded better than that. "Oh well" doesn't cut it.

The IVs are junk after a season or two requiring complete rebuilds.
