Arborist Block

Re: DMM Impact Blocks

A few Impact Block images as promised.

Two ropes, one block, one sling. Might be useful when standing up the larger branches over an obstacle. Blue fleck rope would carry out the winching, the red could be fixed to the butt to ensure it doesn't drop off. For example.....

Re: DMM Impact Blocks

Thanks for posting the pics Chris!

Very much appreciated. Gives riggers an idea of the many different applications of this incredible block, as you stated above.

Re: DMM Impact Blocks

I think that's great design and I expect I'll buy one at some point. Seems perfect for trees on houses.
It would be cool if the smaller impact block had the hollow axle too.

Re: DMM Impact Blocks

I have a small one here in the U.S. and I used it today and lowered some 1000 to 1500lb White Oak chunks of a spar and it has got to be the smoothest block i've ever worked with. I own several different block and this one is the best IMO. It has no edges so its rope friendly and it rolls so quiet no squeeking from the roller.
