Aug 24, 2008 #2 chris_girard Branched out member Location Gilmanton, N.H. I was on the summit of Mount Washington here in NH two weeks ago, and saw part of the AP from the presidential range. That is one rugged trail. I bet that guy would make a good brush monkey!

Aug 31, 2008 #4 treebing Been here much more than a while Location Detroit, Mi. they didnt believe in switch backs back when they built that trail. only when absolutely necessary. the trails out west are much milder though the mountains are taller.

I ran 2 miles last nite in the rain on a track....felt great but sure made me wonder about running 40+ per day....it is pretty insane. On his site, they talk about a number of diff people who have run across the USA.
