Anyone know about Carlton grinders?

I don't want to bother the dealer in my area but I was wondering if it was easy to swap out the 33 Kubota for a 44 hp? Or are there so many swaps that would need doing that it doesn't make sense?

Yes I would guess, I have the 27hp model and wanted to go to a 38hp gas and it was going to require new bearings bigger pulleys and jack shafts so I just kept the 27 for now and will build. Bigger grinder eventually

I have the 27 hp gas myself. Hate it. It's so frustrating grinding anything over 20" in diameter. Stepping up to the 33hp kubota almost doubles the torque, halves the grinding time.

If I were to step up larger, I would have to go at least to the 44hp.
The whole reason I original posted this is because I saw a 4012 for sale online with a blown 33 kubota. Wanted to see if I could make a switch over work.

For sure any thing over 20" is very frustrating personally I would give it a go you will prob need any extra grove to get the power to the cutter wheel or go up a grove size, on the pulleys, would deft be cheaper to swap in a 44hp on the grinder with a blown 33hp as most of the coolant system will be sufficient I would assume
