Anyone here in Vermont

I’m in MA but have a customer who has a project in VT and it’s something I may be interested in.

I’m not sure though does VT require any special licensing, etc. or are there any laws about out of state tree services doing work?

Was just wondering if anyone here is in the area and could advise.

You’re definitely going to want to check with your insurance provider to see if they will cover you working in Vermont.

Wise of you to ask the question before you find out there are regulations. A call to the municipality where the customer has the property would be the first place I would go.

You are possibly going to be required to have a biz license in the town you might work in, possibly paying B&O Taxes.

What's the enforcement? Dunno.
If it's permitted, there is more of a trail.

I remember hearing about guy’s who were going down south I think to Florida to help out with storm work and they were getting arrested and charges brought up against them because they weren’t authorized to work in FL.

Not sure on the specifics of that story but be mindful!

I don’t think you’ll have any problems here in VT unless it’s an environmental regulation like cutting near a stream or an odd municipal regulation. Where in VT?
