Anyone have a unicender they don't want?

Just buy a rope wrench. It'll cost less money and is a good replacement while the uni is being rebuilt.

That said, I bought a second uni for the same thing, never sent the first one out for a rebuild and now need to send both uni's out for rebuild.

Glad I own a rope wrench

Re: Anyone have a unicender they don\'t want?

I have a wrench, and it doesn't hold a candle to the uni, excellent idea but just not the same, i'd rather have 2 uni's then have to deal with the inconvience

Re: Anyone have a unicender they don\'t want?

What hitch do you use on your rope wrench?

I ask because I too didn't like the wrench all that much because the uni is soo smooth for ascent and the wrench tended to bind up a little with ascent.

I switched my mm eye to eye (now 10) and went to a schabish and it's much smoother than it once was (still not as smooth as the uni though)

Ever notice how dangerous the uni gets when it needs to be rebuilt? On my 11mm line it just slides up and down on the rope all it wants of its not jacked on a certain angle. Can get a little sketchy at times.

Either way, like I said, I own two uni's for the same reason you described and now need to get both rebuilt.

Where are you sending it? I have the old school version and new version

Re: Anyone have a unicender they don\'t want?

It's not up for a rebuild yet but i am aware it eventually will need one so i'm just trying to be on top of it when it does happen, with the wrench i tried heaps of hitches and ended up with a 4x3 valdotain which was very smooth but still no uni
