Anyone coming down to Texas to Work after the Storm?

flooding is really going on down here. we are safe for now the bayou behind our house is about 8 feet from the top. hope we get some lulls in the rainfall.

I am in Dallas and was thinking about heading down to do some scouting. Anybody want to put together a crew.

Hit me up if you still wanna come down once the water recedes theres going to be tons of work and i wouldnt mind working alongside some experienced climbers. I have my 4x4 f150 and a 6x12 trailer with 4ft walls

Echo CS490 20"
Stihl MS170 16"
Stihl MS201TC 14"
Stihl HT133 (Pole Saw) 14"

I've got a F350 and would probably bring a bobcat behind it. A new 460 or 660 and a contract climber riding shot gun should round out my truck right now.
I would love to set up a Treebuzz disaster relief crew. Could be fun, get guys from all-around to meet up, exchange techniques, and make some killer money.

Anyone else down. A KBoom would make some short work of most if these trees I would imagine.

Anyone got a grapple truck they want to make some money with?

This isn't going to be another Katrina "free-for-all". Dreams of getting rich should take a backseat to assessing the damage, understanding the human toll, and learning a little bit about humility and service. It isn't even over yet.

O man how radical is that....Hey man cmon down to Waco Sep 27-29; I got a free place for you to crash!

I'm sorry you took it that way...I didn't mean to demean.
After Katrina, there was a mass input of people into a system clearly mismanaged by both the federal response and local officials (re: Bush, Michael Brown, Ray Nagin, and others).
A board member from Colorado positioned himself to collect 10K for every roof he blue-tarped, amassing a fortune..and he was a political conservative red neck.
This storm is different. The damage will be different. Remediating soil/salt levels and pathogens well beyond the initial wind impact.

I'd love to come up there and do some climbing and cutting with other buzzers, however, I just started Paramedic school and can't take the time off.

Flood insurance programs have already taken unsustainable hits. Entire communities talking about relocating. Millions of environmental refugees seeking permanent higher ground. These elements of change have been issues for decades, especially by our own CIA. Instead we decided to go militant, cut funding, trash laws and become a rogue nation, hardly capable of continuity or respect from the rest of the world.
This storm, when finished, will set the stage for where we go from here. And the pulse of our nation isn't capable to cooperate or remediate, but to condemn and bully.
No, this isn't a storm like Katrina. This one will not only bring out the shrinking best of people, but will serve as a catalyst to the larger "worse" of people. In my aged opinion.
There exists a great generational
divide. Those who lived the past, and those who have never learned of the past.
Catastrophy often ignites good, but that was then. This is now.

Now don't misunderstand my intentions. I'm not out trying to get rich. I just thought it would be cool to get a crew together and do some storm work

We are still doing well at my house no water in our streets but nearby neighborhoods aren't so lucky most of houston is flooded and having to evacuate several areas. Now on to the tree work part, like tyler said we weren't trying to take advantage of other peoples misfortune but at the same time no right minded citizen expects anyone to work for FREE, but at the same time doesn't mean we have to price gouge customers either. I feel we could get a nice small crew of us treebuzz guys together and team up and service the community with reasonable rates and quality/professional and friendly service. Have fun and make money doing it, and feel good about helping the community with "affordable" tree service options.
