Anyone coming down to Texas to Work after the Storm?

Hey guys, My name is Mark I am in the New Orleans area. If I can get things lined up right with my kids I would be good to go for at least 7-10 days. Maybe a good idea would be to gather donations for the victims before we go (if there is room) like water, food, first aid supplies etc.., Of course we will have to purchase some of these essentials for ourselves as well. When we get there we could offer the donated supplies to those in need. People want professionals like us who will offer fair pricing who are dependable, honest and know what we're doing. Just having someone to trust would be a huge relief for those in need. The more of good hearted professional Arborist like ourselves that go there for work will hopefully save a few victims from being ripped off by some hacks/con artist. Just my opinion! Lol

Being self-sufficient and having your own supplies (food, water, 1st aid, fuel, etc) when responding in a disaster is important so as not to tax already strained relief efforts. Your donation idea is a great point as well.

I'm too far away, mate, with a kid to keep track of... plus, Harvey has all my clients in a scurry for Irma, lol. You're going to be rolling in wood, if it's anything like Matthew last year.

How is everything? Can you all get around yet, and is there power? Any FEMA wood truck barges yet?

Tied down here as well. I have my kids a week on/a week off. I was going to see if my ex could keep them a little longer but she just had surgery. Wish I could come down Chad Gallion.

Crew of 2-3 willing to come wherever needed. Fully and properly insured. Saws and all nescessary climbing and rigging gear. Additional equipment, ( Avant loader, skidsteer, stump grinder, and additional trucks)

Is there enough work to make the trip worth it? Sounds like a lot of great ideas on here is anyone else considering? Or has anyone else come yet?
