Any experiences with Dolmar?

When i worked in NJ my boss bought the 7900. Great saw, we would pick that up before any of our stihl saws. He was so impressed he went and picked up the 5100s. Again very impressed with that saw as well.

If i had a choose i would be buying Dolmar. Don't have experience with the 3410. I heard their top handle does pretty well (i'm assuming thats what your talking about). I wanted to try it once but they didn't have it at the show i attended. I would like to give it a go sometime though. If you get one let us know how you like it. If it cuts anything like their other "pro" saws i don't think you would regret the purchase.

Tom, I have a 3410 14". It has plenty of power, the anti-vibe is very good, starts good, but the stupid toggle on/off switch gets turned off accidently allot. If I had to do it over again, I woulda bought an MS200T 14". I still have the 3410 and use it as my primary climbing saw.

Dolmar is now branded as Makita, i beleive they do 2 engine sizes on the top handle.
I would like to give one a go although i have heard the plastics are a little brittle and dont stand up as well as a stihl.

Dolmar manufactuers Makita saws. they are still run as two different companies.

Dolmars are great saws.....finding a servicing dealer can be tricky!
