Another silver maple with cables

Tim, I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you'll reach with the bucket. It might mean that you still have to run up and set the rigging, but I bet all cuts can be made from the 75' range. Keep us posted when you do the job.

The job was done when I was at Expo. I have pictures but not much explanation. I'll comment on what I can.

Here is the setup the first morning; two 75' bucket trucks. Notice the cover on the lines, just to add another small level of protection. The lines could not be de-energized.

Here it is at the end of the first day. The trees were taken down to the point of the cables in some places and left longer in others.

Nice pics Tim. Looks like the job went very well.

I'm sure that you would have liked to have been there for that one.

Did the crews run into any difficulties out of the ordinary?

On a job of that scale, is it mandatory to have someone from the utilty company on site?

I didn't hear of any major issues.

The Utility System Owner was there in the morning to install the cover, but not sure of they stayed all day. I will have them around occaisionally for some of the nastier ones, just in case. Usually, they just kill it, cover it and go.
