Another Maple removal

I find that I get more control letting the wood tear, usually done when a rigging point is located above the limb to cut and rope is pretensioned using the GRCS.

More control is offered by tip tying or balancing loads, and then hinging them towards the block. Butt hitching and letting the wood tear will bite you in the some day.

I noticed that I would have probably climbed the tree a little differently...thats all.

Enjoyed the mudvayne.
Curious about route diameter, as it was still a bit violent on the rope, imo. 3/4" ? Thanks.

thanks, "swipe" on my phone wrote ROUTE instead of ROPE, i didn't catch it. Keep doing the videos. Thanks for the time to put it out there.

Tearing is unpredictable, un undercut or notch is far more reliable.

Cheers for putting it out there, everyone got paid and made it home!

Thanks for the input. Just kinda set in my ways is all. Camera work was lacking in the job, some of the stuff was over the back patio and service wire which came up from the rear. Overall the job was a success and the customer was happy. Good Day,then saw Iron Maiden in T.O. Rough weekend..

Thanks for all the replies and appreciate them. Been wearing the safety gear lately so I guess you guys are rubbing off on me. Not that I never wore it before but...had a couple so ....deal with it...
