AMSoil Saber 100:1

Just wondering if anyone out there is using AMSoil Saber Synthetic 100:1 mix? Have a friend that suggested using it in the saws, said he's been using it for many years and no problems--spark screens stay clean, no fouled plugs, and better overall for the engine. Any thoughts?

That's the main reason why I'm posting, I'm fine with using synthetics, but the mix ratio is what really concerns me. The guy who told me about the stuff says he runs it at the 100:1 with no problems. Anyone running at that ratio?

not a big fan of amsoil.

that being said I know plenty of people who run it at that ratio and love it. the oil manufacturer sets the rates. it is most likely a more "concentrated" blend they use. that's why its more expensive as well!

there were rumors of Stihl making a 75:1 ratio synthetic.......

The specified ratio with any 2 stroke oil is usually set richer than essential for safety........but I continue to run synthetic at 32/1. I don't have problems with fouling.....or with oil related failures.

For those of you who said that you don't like/prefer amsoil, can you explain? Is it because you heard of something bad happening because of it, or is it just because it is something different than what you normally use? I was actually thinking of giving it a try when I saw this post, but I would like to be a little more informed before I make the switch.

we use 100:1.
had to re tune tools but thats easy enough.on it now for 2 years and all is good.
smokless and less carbon build up are a couple of benifits plus its a no brainer for the guys to mix--200mls of oil to 20 litres of petrol, easy!
