AMSOIL Saber™ Synthetic 100:1 Pre-Mix 2-Cycle Oil

Anybody else using this?

We have been using it for over a year with great results. Using it in Over Stihl products. 40 saws, 6 blowers and 4 brush cutters
Less maintaince costs from repairs.
Less envromental impact from using less product.
Seems like better performance as well.

But that means that you still use gas that is especially doped for cars.

I thought America was the land of the sue culture. I wonder how the company's work things out when your family will sue them for your Alzheimer because of using the wrong gas in chainsaws.

Why not use Alcylate fuel like Aspen or Motomix...???
This will be much better for your own health and the environment wich we work in.

That's what treespotter is referring to when he talks about the wright fuel for chainsaw use.

Take care of youreselves and think about this one.

At $8.99 a quart I can't see the company I work for providing the Stihl Moto Mix for us to use in our day to day operation. Typically a crew of 3 goes through 3 - 5 gallons of mixed gas a week multiplied by 20 plus crews that would be a small furtune in Moto Mix. However I did pick up a quart to use in my new 200T which is going to be sitting on a shelf for the duration.

Treespotter and Treestyler, do you 2 buy that stuff for large crews?

I know per week we buy at least 15 gallons of saw gas.

That adds up to $540 a week minimum.

The answer is no but does it matter?
In my week I have to earn €2200 ($3000) and pay due to a lot of handsaw and battery powered saw use on average about €15 for my Motomix.

You are talking about $540 and how many crew members does your company have? No need for you to tell me what your company brings in per week. I really don't want to know.

Don't just think about the dollars Hammer. Think about your health.

Why yes it does matter. since you are so worried about my health and not concerned with your own. If your not spending the money on this "Miracle fuel", why should I?

It's no secret about how much profit we make. It's $0.00
I work for a non for profit electric company.

Just in the vegetation management dept we have 35 employees.

And if I were worried about my personal health I would have chosen a different profession and would not ride sport bikes that are capable of 200mph (320kmh).

Personally I have not even heard of this "Miracle Fuel" until you mentioned it. It might just be the thing to do, but I seriously doubt it's gonna take off due to price here in the US at least. I know plenty of older tree trimmers and cannot recall of one with health related issues due to running gasoline in saws. But if you feel so inclined show your support for this product, why don't you make your own thread about it and discuss it's points there instead of this one?

In most parts of Europe it is forbidden for company's to 'serve' car gasoline to personnel for use in motorized tools that spill their fumes close to the user. Additives in car petrol (the basic ingredient to add to Amsoil) are a NO-GO to breath in.

So you have to buy this stuff for lawn mowers as well?

[/ QUOTE ]I have no clue. There's not that much lawn growing in our trees over here.

But when your exhaust is in your face you probably would.
