American Tree Surgeon?

This is a great little vid of a 1950s TV Show where a group of people have to guess the person's occupation. So when did people stop using the term 'Tree Surgeon' in America in favour of treetrimmer, treeclimber or arborist?

Also, notice how nice the people are in this video, unlike people today who are generally not nice -

Its still the most common term to describe an arborist in the UK, 99.9% of people in the UK could tell you what a Tree Surgeon is, but if you asked them what an Arborist was they would look at you with a blank expression.

Hollenreich, I know your half joking as usual, but seeing as that TV show was filmed in 1958 (50 years ago for thickos) its more than likely that our bearded friend has died, so you better start showing some respect for him, chances are he was the first ever Tree Surgeon to appear on television anywhere in the entire world.

Lets make him a post humus honorary member of Treebuzz.

kind of rare I bet to see hair like that during that time frame.

The dude must have been a real trend setter for the hippy movement.

I like it though, he looks a lot like me!
