Amazing Eastern white pine

thats a platform i built near my camp in nova scotia up a fabulous white pine i came across one day hunting. about 5 feet dbh and splits into three great spiral stems (probably why it wasn't originally logged). whole platform freefloats a bit and cables above it are to keep the tree supported over time.

You could of just enjoyed the tree for what it is. Did it really need a platform and bracing? I understand the attraction to do this and the view achieved is great. Personally I prune trees in the urban setting for money, hazard reduction and aestetics, in that order. But those big wild ones the loggers skipped, I think, need a little more respect.
Sorry for raggin' on ya on your second post, welcome to the buzz and I'd probably enjoy an evening spent on the platform as much as you. Anyway thanks for the video looks like a lot of fun.

wondering about the cabling system you are using with the cables bending through the eyebolt strongly bending and moving. Shouldn't it have 3 individual cables between leads, with thimbles?
