Yoyo had a solution that I have been using - a round wire lock pin with Oceans tether. I don't even use washers. The wire holds both eyes on and I have never had trouble with it coming off.... And if it did, it wouldn't be the end of the world. The only thing is it's a bit bulky and doesn't interface as smoothly with the hitch cord. But it is a cheap fix.Treestuff should make a washer/pin connection for their double tether. That would be outstanding to be able to add or remove the wrench easily.

But Mike, What about taking the aluminum all the way down to the becket and forking it. Put a slick pin hole in each and voila! I don't know, maybe there is something that would hinder that as a workable option. I just had that thought while reflecting on the Oceans tether and slick pin combination I've seen some using.
