Altec Lower Hydraulic Fittings

Hello,
I own a GMC with a rear mount Altec boom. There are a set of lower hydraulic fittings mounted to the bumper (see pic). Anyone know what there were supposed to be used for? I know they made a hydraulic powered chipper but it has no chip box. So that seemed wierd. Someone mentioned possibly a stick saw. That, as well, seems wierd. I know it is an old Asplundh truck. I was just curious. Thanks.

I would guess to mount a winch or some really heavy trailers have lines you can hook up for a jack
