I saw this a while ago and thought it’s too good to be true. Still curious though.

I was initially intrigued...but I'm not convinced it can do much more than a mallet. It seems to be marketed more for "safety check" than a risk assessment tool like a resistograph or tomographer.

How often are people climbing trees that collapse under them that this would have helped them identify?
