Allison 2500 performance

We are considering a new chip truck and debating automatic transmission vs standard.
Is any body running a 20 yard chip truck - Bandit 1590 (or any 9500lb chipper ) combo with an Allison 2500
If so , how does this setup perform ? and - Would it be better to go with a 3500

I am running an Allison 2200 I think on my cab over. It holds about 18 yards and it does it no problem while pulling a 7000 pound chipper. No problem at all.

The boss man used to have standards but too many drivers blowing up clutches.
It's really something seeing a fully loaded 80k lbs truck taking off like nothing. The funny thing is that the boss opted for all Allisons in the fleet but spec'd all single frame trucks. Every 4 years they disassemble them to frame rails and have to check for cracks. Then sandblast, paint, and put them back together.

I had trouble with the 3500 (one ton) type trucks with a 15 yard body and 8000# chipper even with the Allison trans. I've been running a CC5500 (Duramax & Allison), 4X4 and have had little issues since 2005. They're getting tough to find but the medium duty chevy's have been good to me.
