Is the rocket line splice the same as the tachyon? I could not find splicing instructions on the all gear website.

That's how I spliced mine and it came out nice.

NOTE:
Be sure to tape the the cover immediately after performing, or even before, the taper. The 1st time doing an eye splice, I didn't tape it and I couldn't do the final bury without it looking let's say "a little suspect".

How do you all treat the Orange tracer core inside the hollow braided core? Like the purple tracer strand in tachyon? Which most splicers I know cut out...

Maybe now? It's bigger than tachyons thread so I hesitate cutting it.

That would definitely give me pause. I haven't seen that. I am only a novice splicer, I would call for back up too.

My thoughts are that its there to help keep the rope nice and round under load, so that its not a critical to have it through the spliced eye. But I want to check.

So tach instructions indeed. Personally, I leave the inner core in the splice, but that's just me.

Allgear seems to have removed their splicing instructions, tach instructions it is then!
