I do find it interesting that someone bought a relatively 'one-off'' item with never before seen splicing, without even seeing a photo of it...



Did anyone stop to wonder how a triple ring sling was made out of 16 strand climbing line?

I seen it. It was pretty cool. Looks like all the core was removed and then it was spliced. Very nice craftsmanship. I got a whoopie here at home that I spliced with two number two thimbles that is very handy.

Hey its an ABR product so I wasn't worried about quality!

I'm only a hollow braid splicer so I don't really know much about any other splices, would eventually like to learn how to.

Your welcome! Yeah it's a lighter setup, mainly anything you'd run 1/2" line for. I feel like the third ring is more for show, and two rings would be just as effective.

Did you make this sling Nick? Or did you stand at the splicing table and hand parts to the splicers? BooYaa!
You know I'm just teasing you. I've seen a couple of your splices, you know what you're doin'. I really like that sling, shame it was so pricey! Great for light rigging jobs...

I didn't make it, but I established instructions and a pay code for it, observed it's manufacture and tested it.

I don't possess the level of craftsmanship to make items at the same level as our team.

I train on procedure and best practices but I don't pretend to compete with my team in terms of production.

I'm more like a coach!
