A new discovery in the fossil record/ Dino killing meteor

Wow - what a read.

Yes

I had to break it into three reads. So many little stories.

In fall 1972 I was in Geology 101 at U of MN. The prof told us about some new ideas based on little clues about the meteor impact.

A funny part of the class was that the last chapter of the book was about the, then, theory of continental drift. The prof used it as a lesson in science discovery and theory. In my eight grade Earth Science class the teacher was able to teach it as fact.

Science moves on and changes our view of the Earth

Day to day technical challenges are puny compared to deciphering geology and dinosaur fossils, a whole lot of mental experiment to get right. I was waiting for the skitters in amber:)
