A few pics of yesterday\'s removal

A few of the tree we took down yesterday. I snugged it up and braced it with a come along, log chain and ratchet strap before I rigged off of it. Had to lower everything off the left side because of septic system and leach field.

Good work. It's hard to jump in a tree with a base like that.

That's what I was thinking.

Was there any possibility of maneuvering a trailer lift back there? Maybe like this example? (See Attachment)

Yeah, that would have been much easier but with the tree compromised as it was, wouldn't have been very prudent. I had to lower everything off of the left side to avoid any possible damage to the septic system, house and deck.

No way to get anything in there to the tree without risking damage to the septic system and leach field. Another year and we would have probably had to use a crane.

A few more pics for reference. Saw is an 044 with a 25" bar:

You gonna use the firewood?

[/ QUOTE ]

Firewood was left on site for the homeowner. I have firewood coming out of my ears. I usually give it away if I can. I've got 2 jobs this next week where I could give away some excellent Oak firewood if someone asked for it. I don't mess with firewood much. If someone calls and asks to buy some I will sell it delivered but I will give it away if someone is willing to come pick it up.

Thanks to all for the high fives on this one.
