A friend at a local dealer said Husky is currently (and permanently) no longer manufacturing the 395 series. I knew it was coming but it still sucks. A shame.

If anyone doesn’t like the 592 and wants to swap for a lightly used 395 with probably only about 30 hours on it, DM me.

I have a new 395xp. The thing is made in Brazil. If you are cutting softwood any sharp saw is fun. Try that in tropical hardwoods and it is a whole different animal. My 661 eats hardwoods, my 395 eats hardwoods. I assume the 595 will eat hardwood.... they all have the power needed. I need to buy a 595xp, only because I am a saw addict. I love 90cc saws the most.

What aren't you an addict over regarding tree gear? Truth be told, we all have our soft spots.

Once I got these huskies, the 3120xp, 395xp and the 372xp I realized how much chainsaws mean to me and my work. Just having a quiver of Stihls and Husky gives me peace of mind and options. There is no wood I cannot make mince of. Powerband and torque is real.

I have both a 395 and a 592 on the truck. The 395 is 10 yrs old and recently broke a chain adjuster screw. It was going to be a week or two for getting a replacement. We had a lot of large tree crane work already scheduled so I bought a 592. I'm impressed with it and now grab it first for big wood.

What size bar is everyone running their 395/592? I stuck with a 36" on both, which I believe is the max recommended by Husky. Contemplated a 28" or 32", but my ported 372 pulls a 28" no problem and the 32" is kind of an odd length in my mind.

My 395 pulled a 54” bar through red oak. Oiler keeps up well.

Edit: The 54” is for special situations. I love a 28” bar and also run a 36” frequently.

36" Sugi on the 395 and the 36" Husky lite on the 592. I don't have too many trees around here that needs more bar than that. Run a 24" on the 372. Although, I am going to be tackling a 35" northern white cedar in a couple of days that poises some problems where I will wish I had a bit more bar, but I will make do with what I have. Photos coming on that project.

I run a 32 on both daily but have a 42 when needed. I've run a 36 but I don't like how awkward it is to get in my saw scabbard on my bucket truck. I do a lot of crane cutting larger wood from the bucket.
