Anybody have any experience with these engines? Good? Bad? Theres a Bandit 90 with this motor in it for sale, was wondering if it would be underpowered for everyday use?

Was on site the other day and the owner had a 6" bandit 34hp(kabota) diesel engine and the 9" Bandit 37 hp gasser(It was older). The 6" diesel looked more powerful. Didn't bog down.

I would hold out for a diesel or a bigger gas engine.

I would look at what kind of money you are looking at on the 9 inch and how much of an upgrade it's going to be from your current set up. I would go over the engine pretty hardcore before pulling the trigger but if it will do everything you need/want it to do and the price is right and the machine is quality. I say go for it. Wisconsin makes a solid motor.

Mine worked fine until the motor blew. Chipper had been flipped on its side in the past. It will probably be direct drive, meaning no clutch, which was a pain in the butt at times. It really needed more horses though.
