372xp and 372xpw

hey guys, looking to pick up a new saw. I was wondering if there is a noticable power difference between the 372xp and the 372xpw. I know its a 4-5 cc difference.

No,the porting is different. The W has a bit more torque, but the power difference is not really noticable. I only ran mine in stock form for a bit, but found it underwhelming. That could be due to all my 372's having been fully woods ported.

Have a good builder do his magic for about $250, and the saw will be 40-60% faster!!

Timberbeast is just over the border from you, if he will do it. Hes the best there is for woods porting IMO.

I bought two new saws a year ago at the same time, one the 372xp and the other the 372xpw. Thought the xpw would have a little more noticeable power also but not the case. I can't tell any difference and I actually run the xp more.

Woods Logging in Sedro Wooley does simple mods....no real porting, I don't think.

My latest builder, Jasha, is in Northern Cali. tree_sling'r is his alias on Arborist Site and racesaws.com His work is great.
