Look out, Jer, I'm catching up as I have 16 months to go to enter my 43rd year in the trees. And, iirc, I did two hand a climb saw back in 87.....42 years in the trade. Worst cut was by a hand saw. Plenty of one-handing of the chainsaw in between. Just use common sense, damn it!
Meant a saw lanyard, but yes I think any Gm standing in that area would be in danger, not necessarily from a falling saw.Actually high tie, second tie and a lanyard.

Just a note for greenhorns. My life line is bagged and hanging from harness so there is no chance of being tugged. See way to much lifelines near falling debris. I think that is more dangerous than one handing and equivalent tostanding in drop zone. Don't you think?
