Yep the new gassers are awesome ! I have an 18R. No slowing it down. No tier 4 bull crap.I bought a 19XPC gas in July. Love it. Its a 5.7 (350) Gm 165 hp. Full of fuel and a winch its over 10k#. But at a 25” opening we dont haul much firewood anymore. I was dead set against a gasser before we demoed it. We didnt give it back after the demo lol.
That’s no good hopefully they figure it out asapI have a 2021 xpc 19 gasser and it is a beast. 1 year no problems. then the catalytic converter burned up shooting flames out the tailpipe. put it in the shop for a month and a half. new cat. new control modual new distributer cap and 12 hours of use and it did it again. back to the shop. Paying for a chipper to be in the shop for monthes and no loaner while all this is going on.Not to mention the xtra dump fee's from not being able to give loads of chips away. My biz is likely to struggle to survive. I love the Bandit brand but this is bullshit. I wish I would have gone with the diesel.
Mine did the same they didn‘t reset the timing after they replaced all that! psi has a dowel kit so it doesn’t throw the timing back out. My Morbark mechanic did that when mine did it and 2 years no problems. Easy fix if they have a good mechanic and that kitI have a 2021 xpc 19 gasser and it is a beast. 1 year no problems. then the catalytic converter burned up shooting flames out the tailpipe. put it in the shop for a month and a half. new cat. new control modual new distributer cap and 12 hours of use and it did it again. back to the shop. Your engine is not the 6.2 Ford correct? The 5.7GM/PSI has had many problems, and one of them being excessive oil consumption leading to the premature failure of the cats. “If you look at the ones on the used market, the discharge shoots all have soot on them from the oily exhaust”. The 6.2 does not have this problem, as well as no distributor.I have a 2021 xpc 19 gasser and it is a beast. 1 year no problems. then the catalytic converter burned up shooting flames out the tailpipe. put it in the shop for a month and a half. new cat. new control modual new distributer cap and 12 hours of use and it did it again. back to the shop. Yes it doesn’t make sense PSI is using the distributor caps and old school parts on an engine these days and not coil packs. My other 4.3 in the Morbark is a strong running engine. Coil packs not distributor. Bunch of my friends around here are getting the 6.2’s in their new Morbarks coming soon. If you have a good mechanic the 5.7 psi’s aren’t bad. Just the new kiddie mechanics at some shops don’t know how to repair old school stuffYour engine is not the 6.2 Ford correct? When I ordered a 15XP that is due soon, I called Bandit and asked to talk to the lead engineer for the drive systems. He said choose the Ford 6.2 100%. They have seen almost no problems with that motor and it makes 17% more torque as well as lower fuel consumption. As far as the clutch, he said don’t mess with the Spring Loaded, just get the Over-Center as it will last much longer if adjustment is kept up.
Update on thread Got it back the cat. converter was still ok it was a distributer problem. It is fixed now and chippin like crazy again.
