Wow, I missed out of meeting alot of people. This year was my first show and it was incredible. Got to see a ton of new gear that's not on the market yet,and a few older things that never will be eg. Wooden rope wrench prototype (thanks Rich H, it was great to meet you). All in all it was a great experience and I hope to see everyone next year and meet a LOT more buzzers!

Doing a removal? Awful! Probably works great for pruning.

The cool part is what it's hanging from...
Yeah, you must have been cursing that thing under your breath...nothing was picked up by the microphone? Let's just say the removal application was not a great sales demonstration for that saw.
But yeah, I can't wait for one of those RE Transporters to magically show up at my door...

Whoa what a minute hold up. So how the heck did you land that gig? Did you keep all that new stuff? What pants are those? You didn't tell me you were performing at the show! Maybe I woulda gone. Geeesh

I had a blast with two great arborists/trainers. They are top-notch in my book. I'd roll with them any day. Great job Eric and Mac. As far as the saw is concerned, that was partly my fault for not giving Mac the low down on the saw. Run it at full throttle and it will work much better. I will agree, it is not a removal saw...pruning, yes.

I was called in as a ringer before game time, Donny and Eric were headlining. And they did great, I was just the bouncing ball.

Only the boots and the saw were new. The saw, sadly, I did not keep. Would love to get one for pruning. The boots are mine though, they are available at shelter tree, which now has free shipping on $100 or more orders. The pants are arbortec as well. I love them had them just over a year, holding up real well. Also available from Shelter.

Nice. I've never had chainsaw boots before, can you limbwalk and that alright in those or are they strictly removals only?
I just got them, but I did all that stuff in my old pfanners. Which are much bigger and heavier than the scaffells. These are a much slimmer profile, rather light, and with a steel toe instead of aluminum. Which I hope means I will be able to wear them in the winter months.

Thanks Donny, How long does the battery last? I would think a battery saw would be great on some removal cuts too...maybe when you are up on some skinny pole while balancing on your gaffs and not wanting to pull start a saw.

I got to meet Reg, very soft spoken guy until I asked him "where my Arborella was?" Lol. He highly recommended the Stein Krueger Arborist Chainsaw pants, so while I was there I bought a pair to replace my old $50 pants.
