2011 Ohio Tree Climbing Competition

The 2011 Ohio Tree Climbing Competitoin will be held in Bexley, Ohio (Downtown Columbus) on April 30th. This year we will be allowing out of state climbers to compete. In state climbers have until April 1st to sign up, and then after the 1st if there are open spots anyone can sign up.

We can use all of the help we can get, so if anyone is interested let me know!

You'll do fine. Make sure the bathrooms are open at 5am to make sure they really get opened at 6 since it's a Saturday. All your judges and techs should have the rules to their events nailed and be prepared to settle interpretations (head judges). They're to tear down their events completely when they're done and the ribbon comes down last. Do as much press as you can too. Contact radio stations and television weeks in advance. Someone's probably deligated for that. Are you going to piggyback a training day on your event?

We are conducting some classes throughout the day for homeowners and are doing alot of advertising. They decided not to do a training program this year, we have always in the past had a full day friday workshop.
