2010 Kentucky TCC

Awesome comp, thanks Cory great job putting all the pieces together. Thank you to all the judges, techs, score keepers, sponsors, setter uppers, and anyone else that helped out for donating your time and making this possible. Great after party too, thanks Limbwalkers.

Cory Petry’s organization of this competition (IMO), was of “International Quality” ! !

It was just outstanding !

……… from the equipment organized in each event bin, the details (like the “loaner equip. lists”), the sponsor donations to the “event” and the “climbers” prizes, the water bottles to be filled w/ tap water (& I am NOT a recycle wacko), and the general communications !

The hotel that Cory recommended was the “best value for money” that I have ever used !
($49/single & $59/double per nite …….. Out the door, no extra tax, continental breakfast, ….)

I was thrilled to be part of the event ! !

From memory, we had volunteers & climbers from:

KY, AR, IN, IL, IA, OH, PA, NC, GA, FL, MI, WI, New England Chapter, ………….
……….. (who did I miss ?)

Is that a record for a single state chapter event ?

If you missed it, sign-up for next year !

Gongrats to: Rick D. (H-of-the-Gods) & Josie Spagnolo (I’ll be working here all week !)

Ciao for Now ! Greg

Thank to everyone who was a part of this competition! Climbers, judges, and spectators included.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone. I think I can say that a good time was had by all. We had a great competition, great weather, and a great party afterwards. Cory really did a awesome job organizing the competition. Congrats to Rick and Josie who will represent Kentucky down under. Cormac was rewarded with his preliminary win by not getting to see anyone climb. But he was a good sport about it.

Congratulations to all the competitors, judges, techs, time keepers, and scorers. You all rock!!
That was a great weekend.
I shot over 1,400 images from 7am to 6:30 pm.
I'll start uploading them to a web gallery this evening. It may take a few days to go through them and get them uploaded.
It was great to see everybody.

I've started to upload images to a web gallery!
You can check em out at:

www.stacyborden.smugmug.com

Click on an image in the slideshow to go to the gallery. You can choose between a few different viewing options if you click the "styles" button.

I've added some different color treatments to some images. Let me know what you think. You can leave comments with images.

I spent the day of the comp photographing at the work climb so I could photograph every one competing. I'm thinking that I am going to load a separate gallery for each group so if you remember your group you can find your pictures in that gallery.

I'll work on uploading the images as fast as I can but realistically it's going to take a few days.

And PLEASE share the link to the gallery with your friends and families. The more prints that are purchased through the gallery the more I can afford to keep doing this.

Thanks again to everyone, it was a great weekend :~}

I had a great time meeting new and seeing old friends. I must say I'm sooooo proud how far this comp has come, from the first time I attended back in 2006 with Rich H. This is now one of the not to be missed comps on the tour. Congrats to Roger Martin for taking over in 2007 and bringing it out of the stone-age, then Chris O and Cory P for raising the bar and adding the Limbwalker Flair. You guys are a class act and will be hard to beat, although EZ is getting close.

Congrats to all, and good luck Josie S and Rick D in the land down under. Thanks to all who helped, and see you next year.

PS...I wanted to give a big CONGRATS to Ranger Danger on his personal best in Footlock, he shaved a 1:15 off his time, to finally get his time under a minute. Way to go dude! Proud of you brother-man

Stacy the second link didn't work for me. And its a little different then the first. Just thought you might like to know. Thanks for all your efforts with the photo's i've shared the link with family hoping they might buy some pictures!

You Limbwalkers are amazing. Everything was quite well organized, and it was great to be around so many enthusiastic competitors, organizers, techs, and their families and friends, not to mention the Louisville natives that wandered down to watch.

Three of us drove over from the Rec Climbing Rendezvous near Cincy to watch. It was good to match actual faces to the those I've only known on the 'Buzz, see old friends, and make new ones.

We saw you hurt your knee Jon; hope you heal quickly.
