2006 ITCC Loring Park Panorama

Approx 4.7Mb JPEG panorama. Some horizontal stretching has occured.

Path towards work climb, climber #24 is about due West.
Left facing white truck with "Welcomes You" banner is South
Husquvarna trailer is East
Vermeer tent is North.

Quality software expertly used on good material.

About the only glitch that catches my eye is just to the right of the Husqy trailer (if the trailer itself really had a stepped roof).

A really neat effect could have been had if the runner were to have been captured twice, both coming and going! (hint: look twice for him twice; I believe he was)

Thanks for the coaching, Glen.
Adobe Photoshop Elements (<$100) has a panorama stitcher. Originally I tried to encapsulate that into a Quicktime QTVR .mov but something kept getting mangled somewhere in the assembly or post.
I also selected a time when there was a low angle of light (9AM) and diffuse light of light clouds. Its a composite of 16 photos with a good amount of overlap. Notice the V chipper is a different color on either end, which was only a couple of minutes start to end.
The runner is in two places but I chose to mask off one. There is some dodging and cookie cutter work to hide the stitches in the trees and grass.

I hope to do some panos inside the canopy of a tree. Use max resolution, turn off compression. Take a sample shot and then read what the camera's automagic settings are, then set it for manual. Take the rest out in Photoshop.

Jim, great shot, I had a great time working with you again this year, last year Work Climb this year Belayed Speed, maybe we can get AR next year on the beach. You, me & Rich H., first event finished, do some diving after our event?

I'm thinking he was in it 3 times if you removed him once! See the attachment.

Trying to imagine things? Nope, lots of red shirts that day! There ARE three competitors in the picts.

Nice to look at the picture on a day like today. Its supposed to be 106. I understand Hawaii doesn't get this hot.

Next opportunity to get with y'all is likely to be Baltimore. Got the go-ahead from my boss to do EHAP and I understand there's going to be a class in the vicinity.
