Can anybody tell me the exact location of the 2006 ITCC. I am trying to arrange travel plans and such.

Thanx in advance,

Tony

Thanks for the info. I will be riding my motorcycle out as I did last year from my home in Pennsylvania. I look foward to the ride and the competition.

Tom, I googled the Cabooze, looks like a fun place. Any other "must do's" while in Minnesota? I am 99.9% sure we are going. Greg, Steve, John and I are planning on it. Jeff may be on vacation.

I could probably be persuaded into bringing some fine home brew for a select few. Aside from that, I think theres gonna be a beer tent /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hell I'm drinkin some of your home brew, I'm workin the MSA to by the beer. Johnny really sucks at climbing /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif but he makes some fine beer -- learned it from the master Craig? didya? /forum/images/graemlins/beer.gif

More unecessary information, I met my Bride at the Cabooze.

I hope that MSA doesn't buy any beer. Especially for the Field Day. When the ISA conference was in Milwaukee there was a HUGE discussion about beer at the field day. The voice of most of the folks involved in the ITCC was 'no beer', the folks involved in the planning was that they wanted beer. What does beer have to do with the Field Day?

Besides The Cabooze, it is really pretty to walk across the Stone Arch Bridge and see the skyline, river and Lock and Dam #1 from the east side of the river. There are, or were, some nightclubs/bars over there.

The Sculpture Garden of the Walker Art Center is a short walk over the bridge connected to Loring Park.

The Uptown area is kinda close to Loring Park and the hotels, there are some cool places nearby.

Tom, I'm in the market for a new rope. How tall and how much spead do the trees have? Will a 150' get or do I need a 200'.

Norm, I will save a homebrew for you, but you need to seek me out as I dont know you or what you look like.

I tend to disagree with Tom about the beer, I see his point to some extent, but I dont think there is anything wrong with an adult choosing to have an adult beverage while cruising a show or watching a performance. I mean we are all grown men and women right?

To be safe Id go with a 150' line as Tom said rarely is that much needed, but I would guess theses trees are anywhere from 60-70 feet tall and every bit as wide. A 120' would handle that fine, unless you did a long redirect horizontally thru the canopy, then its possible you might come up short.
Tod, are you competing at this years ITCC?

I'll be there to give Mark a free lesson. Bring your pad and paper Mark. I normally roll with a 150'. In Nashville I ran the masters challenge and the 150' was a little short. Just making sure I have the right equipment. Thanks guys.

Tohopper , I bought a few cases for the lightning delay at this past summers ITCC and they went quicker than the speed climbs. Beer has a place. I'll be in Miin. next summer watching , and I'LL be right there at the cooler with you and Norm. TK I like to see you do well at the ITCC but I'm going with the "ADMINASTRATOR" .

Thanks for the offer Todd, but I don't mind paying for quality! /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Besides, I don't even know if I'll be competing yet.
