I am well aware 16 strand line is on the way out with the gaining popularity of SRT and I enjoy using just standard natural crotch Dbrt from time to time on removals. It's easy it's quick nothing more than that. I have been using Arbormaster BRW for many years with great faithfulness and I feel like it needs to move on to the land of rigging rope. Which leads me to what do you guys use in this roll and why? I am not too concerned about price so no need to worry about that. Thanks for your help.

NE Safety Blue, Hi-Vee and/or Ultra-Vee. Been with them since they came on the market. Like you , I'm an ultra-sized climber so the extra tensile over the Yale 16 strands is a definite plus. That said, I have been mostly SRT for the past two years and the Yale 11.7 24 strand stuff is what I mostly fly. I just wish it's tensile was just a bit higher, but at 6500#, that is as low as I will go. Just never got into the Samson 16 strands even though tensile is way up there. However, the Samson Vortex 24 strand is awesome ddrt IMO.

Any opinion on Yale imori?

*chime*

Imori is a tough rope. Lighter than most 12mm lines, easy on the hand, but it is a bit bouncy. Ive been climbing on it for 2 1/2 years, with other lines mixed in, but it has seen the most use. Ddrt- rings and natural, and srt.

That said, for exclusively natural crotch ddrt I think you started with one of the best. Over 8000 lb break strength and a tight jacket. I've yet to wear my brw out.

I climb on arbormaster brw and NE safety blue. I love my brw but I'm kinda on the same moving on to 24 strand kick as others seem to be. Thanks for the "chime ins" everybody

Thanks guys guess I will prob just stick with another arbormaster rope. I really do like it just wanted everyone else opinion. This imori rope you someone spoke of is that a kermantale or double braid.
