11 year old daughter in the emergency room

I'll try to find out more tommorrow. How bad she was hurt...
If he doesn't care about his daughter, then she can come stay with me. I've got plenty of room.

I did not see the accident. I would like to find out more. But people here do not want u pokin into their business. I may not be able to get any details.

I think the question firstly would be, is that tree in danger of falling with whatever amount of cutting the neighbour did? Then if it is, regardless of how it "was", it now needs to be taken down. You can offer to assess the tree and do what is needed if anything for the guy. Sure, you can show your disdain for his actions but do the humanitarian thing. Where's the mother? Is she at the hospital? If not and the father is her only parent, then let him get out of there and be by her if or when she wakes up.

If the tree doesn't pose a risk then let him know that so he can go.

Lets see charge a $100 to get a cat, but cut a tree for free. If ya can get 100 for cat, be 1000 for tree no? Man this site sure has me lost.

There ya go Ed, compair a cat rescue to a small child being injured. That's incredibly smart of you to see absolutly no difference between the two scenarios. Your awesome. High five.

There is no EAB in this part of the country. The tree was perfect. If I was around when this was happening I would have put it to a halt. I saw what he tried to do. and I don't know why he would have his daughter in the yard during such dangerous work. But I can't babysit the neighborhood.

Wow! You really dont have a clue.

I didn't say anything about the girl I'm talking about the free tree?????

It's now an emerg tree job if it's half cut??? You'll do it free?

My son drive back from town after a party, came across a roll-over that was on top of the driver, middle of nowhere, and called 9-1-1, cradled the almost dead guy's head to give alittle comfort until he died then assisted the other passenger who had broken limbs.

When the law and rescue finally came, .45 minutes later, they told Alan that "you stopped at 2:30 (AM) to help a couple wetbacks?"

It's all about who we think we are.

I might have been mis-understood. To be clear, I meant, have a look at the tree to see IF the HO had made any cuts in anything, that MAY cause the tree to be a risk for anyone else. IF a risk is found, take what ever actions are messesary to eliminate the risk. Holly I wasn't implying that you knock the tree down, buck and stack it and rake the yard!

Didn't think you would have done that either. Just funny how ya'll say one thing in one post but change your whole veiw in an other.

I understand though, so if the girl didn't get hurt at all?? Then most would of just watched as he only put himself in danger. But would then step in and cut it down for free?? And if it was a phone call of the samething, then ya'll put a price on it??

Got it!! I think

nah still confussed, just continue without me.

He phones and asks for me to work on his tree I charge. Strangely that is the business I'm in. If he's hell-bent on doing the deed himself because money's tight and I'm around and he wants help, then great I would offer to give him some direction.

My doctor gives some of his long term patients freebies when they are tight for money or he knows that they really can't afford it. Does he do that all the time? Of course not.

HR get a grip on the real world, it's not black and white. We have to make judgement calls all day long that aren't necessarily consistent.

1.) I wish I could say that I thought that you were someone's internet alter ego, but after much consideration, I think that's impossible. You don't fit any of the profiles that I tried to pin on you LOL.

2.) Who is "y'all?"

3.) Do you actually say "Y'all" in Jersey?

-Tom

(PS - Despite all my criticism, I still like you as a Devil's advocate poster or some stepchild version thereof. Really! Plus you've been here longer than I have. Respect.)

I have a confession, holly is actually me...the guilt was killin me.
