It used to be when doing the online CEU quizzes, it was recorded instantaneously and quite gratifying on winter days if I remember correctly. Now I have to email them and ask what’s going on weeks after completion asking if it will be recorded.
Also, they don’t have the CEU’s accurate for the...
Anybody use the new echo top handle yet? DCS 3500 T
Looks like its their battery powered removal saw where the 2500T is more for pruning.
Just over 1 pound heavier than the 2500T.
Looks interesting.

If they can’t even create a functional webpage for their members and Cert holders that are paying a pretty penny, what else are they doing with all the money we send them thats dysfunctional?
Yeah, I’m super impressed with Columbia gas. I smelled a gas leak on my exterior gas meter and they came out immediately and told me exactly where the gas leak was. They couldn’t fix it because it was beyond their responsibility so I had to have a plumber come out, but while they were there...
Has anyone else had problems with the ISA webpage recently? I’ve been trying to knock out a bunch of CEU quizzes and the webpage is a dysfunctional inaccurate mess. It seems like ever since they moved headquarters to Georgia the customer/member service has been hit or miss at best.
Sometimes I...
Exact same thing happened to me planting this fall. I think these utility companies are using random cheap contractors or something because it’s become pathetic.
Columbia gas on the other hand I’ve had good luck with and I think they still pay their employees well because the ones I’ve...
The two main stems are pretty equally loaded. The one stem is leaning over the house, but I think I could take quite a bit of weight off with reducing lateral branches.
Would you recommend cabling this river birch or just prune only? If you would recommend cabling, what system would you install/cable(s) arrangement with the 4 stems? I’m going to propose pruning for weight reduction and the usual deadwood/thinning/elevating.
I will say I do not see river birch...
Cool, thanks! I’ll look into this. I was going to send my old injector to Save Georgia’s Hemlocks but the lady that I was in contact with passed away. She said if I mailed it to her, she would rebuild it for $200. I’ll have to look into if they still do this. I know some arborists in North...
This is about as close as you’ll be able to find based on my research if you’re not able to find an old original kioritz. I’ve been using the EZ ject soil injector for years for treatments like you’re talking about, HWA etc.
It’s more finicky than the old kiortz though. Just have to learn how...
I don’t know about that, but I can definitely say wearing a helmet will put more wear and tear on neck vertebrae when looking straight up for hours a day. Like doing shearing and pole pruner shaping work for wealthy customers that want everything to look like in English garden. Shaping European...
I ordered a handful of these and so far so good. They were all $10 when I ordered them several months ago. Probably not very durable but they’re lightweight for wearing longsleeve for UV protection...
Is this what we’re talking about? I might have to email Casey to ask what all I need to make it work.

I would be interested in knowing what the going rate for cabling is too. I remember discussions on treebuzz in 2009-2010 where it was said around $300 for the initial cable and $100-$200 for any additional cables. But that was a long time ago, so what would the rates be now? $500-$600 for the...
Looking for recommendations for wrap around velcro straps I could put on these spurs that would be more comfortable and not stupid expensive? I’m about 99% pruning/phc/planting so I rarely wear them, but when I do they are definitely not comfortable.
This area with the ash understory is pretty clean of invasives naturally. But they built a bike trail close by so I’ve been monitoring what moves in after the disturbance. So far its mostly Allegheny blackberry filling in along the bike trail.
This park that I am doing the invasive species removal in, it’s an Oak, Maple, Beech, Hickory Forest, but there’s a large section of it where the understory is 2-4’ Ash. I wonder what’s gonna happen.
I bought the brush cutter attachment for my echo battery dpas2600 powerhead and it works great for small pear, honeysuckle, barberry, multiflora rose and grasses. I dig up and uproot everything I can, but if it’s too big for that I zap it with this and stump treat. Basically just a circular saw...
